Thousands of thoughts flow through our minds daily. Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. (Proverbs 4:23, Good News Translation)
Thoughts are powerful, they can affect what we say, the decisions we make, how we act or react, how we see ourselves, how we see people, and whether we will be able to fulfill God’s purpose for our lives.
Thoughts are powerful, they can shape our lives positively or negatively.
Thoughts can come from God, Satan, and the environment – things we interact with daily such as books, movies, music, social media, friends, popular trends, and opinions.
The HolySpirit can speak to you through your thoughts, and so can the devil, so be careful what you think about.
Drive away every thought that does not agree with the truth of God’s Word. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Proverbs 4:23, Philippians 4:8)
Stop and ask yourself, is this thought in line with the words of God? Joshua 1:8, Romans 12:2
What we constantly see/read, hear/listen to, and do affect our thought life.
God wants us to have clean, pure, creative, and productive thoughts – thoughts that glorify Him.
Sometimes, when God wants to guide us, He could put some thoughts or ideas in our minds. The devil too brings some thoughts to us, trying to convince us to do what God does not want us to do.
Start your day with God’s Word in meditation and fellowship with the Lord.
Make time to pray and ask the HolySpirit to guide you.
Banish every thought that does not agree with God’s Word.
Any thought that does not agree with God’s Word, kick it out of your mind!
The Mind is the battlefield. As we submit to God’s leading, reject the evil thoughts he tries to plant in us, resist the devil, and he will flee.
The enemy is constantly looking for an opportunity to deceive, mislead, or tempt us to sin against God. So, we watch and pray!
May our lives always give glory to God, bless humanity, and be a holy preparation for eternity with Jesus!
