ARE YOU SHINING FORTH THE LIGHT OF CHRIST?✝️

It’s not enough for us to agree and declare God’s Word that we are the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14-16). We have a responsibility to shine forth that light!

We live in a world that lies in wickedness and darkness, especially these last days.  The darkness is getting deeper but it’s also an opportunity for our light to shine brighter! (Philippians 2:15)

Now is not the time for our love to wax cold.

Now is not the time to live in ease, in pleasures, and not concerned about the souls perishing out there.

Now is not the time to pray selfish prayers but make time to intercede for others, for men to experience powerful encounters with God that would lead to their salvation, healing, deliverance, transformation, and victory over sin and Satan’s deception.

In a world of hopelessness, we shine by preaching the message of hope, touching lives positively, and helping them experience the love and kindness of God.

Shining forth the light could mean loving the unlovable, getting out of our comfort zone into the streets reaching out to the unreached with the good news of God’s Word.

Shining the light means living a life of godliness, daily seeking to become more Christlike in our thoughts, words, and actions.

We should arise and shine! Proclaiming the truth of God’s Word through our lifestyle and lips, by good works and good examples that point people to the Almighty God.

In the beginning, God saw the prevailing darkness and declared “Let there be light!” We are that light. Jesus Christ is the Light in us and we have to let His light shine and burn through us for the world to see! Matthew 5:14-16(NLT) says

14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Some people would never read the Bible. We are the Bible they read. We are the Christ they see and experience. Through us, the Light of Christ can shine and dispel their darkness. Are we shining forth the light? Let us examine ourselves!

May our lives always give glory to God, bless humanity, and be a holy preparation for eternity with Jesus!
