The race to heaven is fraught with many distractions and temptations, but God’s grace is sufficient for us.
By grace, are we saved, and only God’s grace can sustain us and help us to make it to heaven.
In these last days, let him that stands take heed lest he fall. A lot of falsehood and deception out there to lead us away from the Narrow Way that leads to life.
It is not enough to start the race, but it’s important to finish it strong.
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 King James Version
24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
Daily, we must continually seek the Lord, deepening our intimacy with Him in Word, prayer, and obedience.
The race set before us, we need to focus on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith, and let the HolySpirit in us work in us and through us to do the Father’s Will.
Are you tired, weary running this race, thinking of drawing back, or yielding to temptation? It’s time to seek the Lord, asking for His help.
May our lives always give glory to God, bless humanity, and be a holy preparation for eternity with Jesus!
