Just like a seed takes time to germinate and develop root downwards before sprouting and bearing fruit, the wind of God’s workings may be blowing but we may not see anything yet.

2 Kings 3:17

For thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts.

The absence of “the wind” and “the rain” does not mean the Lord has forgotten you or that He is not working behind the scenes to bring to pass His promises to you.

It may look like nothing is happening on the surface, no evidence yet of the answers to your prayers, fastings, obedience, study, and commitment to the Lord.

Don’t be discouraged. Stay faithful. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Don’t allow anyone or anything to weaken your resolve to serve the Lord and do what He wants you to do. The Lord has a way of making all things beautiful in His timing (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

1 Timothy 4:13-16

Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.

14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Our enemy, the devil, sometimes taunts us with the fact that we are not getting quick and visible results in spite of our choosing to follow the Lord. His goal is to make us feel terrible and cast aspersions at the faithfulness of the Lord.

Paul encouraged Timothy to continue to give attention to his spiritual growth and give himself completely to God’s Word until his profiting appears.

The Lord is working in you to establish His glorious plans for your life. You are a work-in-progress. Don’t be disappointed in yourself or accept the lie that you are a failure. Keep your faith alive.

Wait on the Lord and you will see His glory breaking forth soon. Rejoice in the HolyGhost. Rejoice in advance!

May our lives always give glory to God, bless humanity, and be a holy preparation for eternity with Jesus!
